Vikram Vedha box office
Well, Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra managed to end the dry spell at Bollywood’s box office minting almost Rs 245 crore at the box office. However, now all eyes are on Vikram Vedha which is inevitably considered to be the next anticipated film of this year. Now, it seems that there is good news lurking for the Hindi film industry as the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer might carry on the torch that was lit by Brahmastra to be a continued hit streak.
According to some trade analysts, based on the buzz of Vikram Vedha and the response that the film’s trailer and the songs have been receiving, it is being predicted to mint at least Rs 14 to Rs 15 crore at the box office. If the film indeed works according to this early prediction, then it will enter the leagues of the top box office hits in Bollywood this year like Brahmastra and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. According to a news report in Bollywood Hungama, if the box office numbers go beyond the predicted figure on the film’s opening day, then it will just be an added bonus.
Well, not only to continue Bollywood’s much-needed box office breather but Vikram Vedha turning out to be a hit is also a necessity for both Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan given the bankability of their previous films. Hrithik’s last film War (2019) had amassed a whopping Rs 303.34 crore at the box office. On the other hand, Saif’s Tanjahi: The Unsung Warrior earned Rs 270. 55 crore at the box office. Now this crime actioner has to live up to the expectations of their previously successful releases.
Vikram Vedha’s doing well at the box office might also prove yet another defeat for the Boycott Bollywood brigade. Just like Brahmastra, the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer has also been under the radar to be boycotted. The reason behind this primarily is Hrithik supporting Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Saif’s choice of names for his sons Taimur and Jehangir along with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan’s controversial statement on ‘not watching’ the Hindi releases if the audience doesn’t like them.
