Bhooth Bangla release date revealed

Akshay Kumar fans are already buzzing with excitement to watch his collaboration with Priyadarshan for the horror comedy film. The makers have now amped up the buzz by sharing the release date of the film on social media. Akshay shared the new poster and also unveiled that the film will hit the theatres on April 2, 2026.

The caption also reveals that the star cast and crew of the film has begun shooting for Bhooth Bangla today, December 10, 2024. The post read, “Beyond excited to be on set with my favourite @priyadarshan.official as we begin the shoot of our horror comedy #BhoothBangla today. Yeh darr aur hasi ka double dose aapke liye ready hoga 2nd April, 2026 ko! Tab tak ke liye aapke best wishes chahiye.”

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla starring Akshay Kumar is backed by Shobha and Ektaa Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms in association with Cape of Good Films. The film will hit the theatres on April 2, 2026. The film marks the return of Akshay and Priyadarshan after 14 years who have previously collaborated on films like Khatta Meetha, De Dana Dan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Bhagam Bhag.

Akshay Kumar was recently seen in the film Khel Khel Mein, which also starred Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal in the lead. While the film was directed by Mudassar Aziz, it was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D. Shah, Shashikant Sinha, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl.

Apart from this, Akshay also has Housefull 5, Sky Force, and an untitled film which will be directed by Ajay Devgn.
