Ayushmann Khurrana is known for selecting off-beat scripts and stepping into eccentric roles. And once again he is gearing up for a unique film, Doctor G , which will feature him as a reluctant gynaecologist. The trailer of the film has piqued the interest of fans so much so that they are eagerly waiting for its release on October 14. Much ahead of the release, Ayushmann is leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie.

While explaining it, the actor shared an anecdote that he was once offered to sign a blank cheque with a three-film deal by one of the Bollywood producers, the identity of whom he didn’t reveal. He said, “I remember there was this one producer who gave me a bank cheque saying, 'aap jitne paise chaihye le lo, humare saath teen picture kar lo,” he told in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
Further, Ayushmann said that he asked about the story, subject, and script but the producer's response was “woh toh likhte rahenge hum.”The actor then mentioned that for him the money doesn’t matter as much it is the script that is of utmost importance.”Maine kaha, mere liye Lakshmi ke pehle Saraswati aati hai,” he added. In the same interaction, the actor also claimed that his entire career is established on risks ad working with first-time directors.
Meanwhile, Doctor G has been issued an A certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification which means only 18+ audiences can watch the movie. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Vineet Jain, the film is a coming-of-age comedy-drama set on a medical campus and is a compelling and hilarious look at a male gynecologist surviving an otherwise female-dominated world. The film also stars Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh.
