Atlee reveals plans for Jawan 2 with Shah Rukh Khan; opens up about discussions with Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh

When it was first announced that ace filmmaker Atlee Kumar and Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan are joining forces, movie lovers knew they were in for a treat. But what we didn’t know was that Jawan would be able to break records that SRK’s much awaited comeback Pathaan had set in January! While Shah Rukh continues to rule our hearts and the box office, Atlee along with his stellar cast is soaring high on the success of their masterpiece, the fruit of their hard work. Well, the filmmaker has now given film fanatics another reason to rejoice.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Atlee confirmed that he will make a sequel to Shah Rukh starrer Jawan one day. The director was quoted saying, “Every film of mine has an open end but to date, I have never thought of doing a sequel to any of my films. For Jawan, if anything strong comes to me, I will make a part two. I have kept an open end and I can come up with a sequel now or later. But definitely will come up with a sequel to Jawan one day.”

After watching Jawan, as we eagerly wait for Jawan 2, we can’t help but wonder which Bollywood actors Atlee will collaborate with next. Much to our delight, he answered this question as well. The filmmaker revealed that he has had discussions about future collaborations with leading superstars of Bollywood like Bhaijaan Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and even Hrithik Roshan. That’s not all! He even has plans to work with South superstar Allu Arjun some day. Atlee shared, “Once God’s blessing comes, I think something I’ll crack and I’ll move on.”

As Atlee gears up for a bright future, Shah Rukh is now awaiting the release of his next film Dunki. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial will arrive in theatres on Christmas.
