As 'Thunivu' hits the big screen, tragedy strikes as Ajith fan loses his life during the celebrations

One of the most anticipated movies of the year is Ajith 's heist-thriller movie Thunivu , fans of the actor have already started their celebration in front of movie screens across Chennai.
This Pongal also marks the first time in nine years that Both Ajith and Vijay will be clashing at the box office, which has intensified the long-standing rivalry between their fans with each group trying to outdo the other.
Tragically this has resulted in the death of a young fan of the actor in Chennai, according to the report the young died after falling off the top of a lorry, on which he was dancing on in front of the famous Rohini theater in Chennai.
He suffered from a major spinal injury and died in the hospital. Unfountly this is not the first time a fan has lost his life during a premier of a big movie in the city.
There is also a viral video of Ajith fans tearing up posters of Vijay's Varisu in front of Rohini theater and Vijay fans retaliating by doing the same to the posters of Thunivu.
Police had to stop the group of fans from escalating the situation and many fans were injured in the process.

Thunivu will be the third collaboration between Ajith and the director after 2019s Nerkonda Paarvai and 2022s Valimai.
The movie follows group of mercenaries who are robbing a bank in Chennai and are led by Ajith. Thunivu marks the first on-screen pairing of Ajith and National award-winning Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, this will be her second Tamil movie after 2019s Asuran in which she co-starred with Dhanush.
The full cast of the movie includes Manju Warrier as Kanmani, Samuthirakani as Dayalan, Ajay as Ramachandran, GM Sundar as Muthazhagan, Veera as Radha, John Kokken as Krish, Bhagavathi Perumal as Rajesh, and Prem Kumar as Prem.
