Ever since Aryan Khan shared the picture of the script with the caption, "Wrapped with the writing…can’t wait to say action,” fans were thrilled about his directorial debut. And now the latest report suggests that the star kid’s upcoming series is titled Stardom, and the shooting for the same has begun.
According to reports, Stardom will be a six-episode series which will be revolving around the film industry. The show is backed by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. However, the official confirmation on the same is awaited. It is also being reported that Aryan has co-written the show with Bilal Siddiqui, who has previously worked with Red Chillies on Netflix’s Bard of Blood.
Earlier, it was said that Aryan’s debut directorial will be a gripping story set in the Mumbai film industry. “It’s a funny, touching, and gripping story set in the Mumbai film industry, told through an up-and-coming young actor and his friends.” a source was quoted as saying to Peeping Moon. For the unversed, Shah Rukh reportedly got on board Lior Roz, an Israeli actor, and screenplay writer, to train Aryan.
Aryan recently shot his first commercial for his streetwear brand featuring Shah Rukh. Talking about his first collaboration with the superstar, Aryan said working with his father was never challenging as the latter makes everyone’s job on the sets easier with his wide experience. He also added that he ensures to focus more on sets when Shah Rukh is around, so he doesn’t miss out on anything worth learning.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh had earlier explained why his son Aryan may not want to be an actor. "He came to me and said, 'I don't think I want to act.' His issue was - which is think is practical and honest - he said, 'Every time I'll be compared to you... and I don't want to be in that position'," the superstar had told on David Letterman’s talk show in 2019.
