Arshad Warsi controversy
For the unversed, Hindi actor Arshad Warsi during his recent interaction on the podcast Unfiltered by Samdish, sparked debate when he praised Amitabh Bachchan for his performance as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD but expressed disappointment with Prabhas and his acting. Warsi remarked, “Prabhas, I’m genuinely upset. Why did he come across like a joker? Why? I wanted to see a Mad Max-style avatar, with Mel Gibson vibes. I just don’t understand why they would make such choices.”
The comment caused a significant stir on social media, with celebrities and fans from Telugu cinema joining the debate against netizens from the North, further widening the differences between South Indians and Hindi-speaking communities.
While many netizens view this as an unnecessary controversy being blown out of proportion, Prabhas' fans don’t seem ready to let it go anytime soon. Now, Telugu fans are eagerly awaiting a response from the CINTAA President and are also demanding an apology from Arshad Warsi for his comments.
