Arjun Kapoor says marrying Malaika Arora not on the cards yet, relationship is not the place he's looking to be happy with work

The relationship of Arjun Kapoor with Malaika Arora has gone through several tests. Firstly, it was Malaika’s divorce with Arbaaz Khan, secondly each other got acceptance from their family. And finally, fans showered love and now waiting for them to tie the knot as soon as possible. But Arjun says this is not the time to get married and he has a sound reason for it. Recently, the Ishqzaade actor appeared on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan and opened up about his marriage plans with his ladylove. He was accompanied by his pregnant sibling and actress Sonam Kapoor.

During the conversation, host Karan asked Arjun a whole lot of questions about his relationship with Malaika. Arjun spoke at length about his difficult times on both personal and professional fronts. Though the much-awaited answer to when wedding bells will ring for the actor came much later, it was quite reasonable. Arjun said that he would like to be professionally more stable before he decides to tie the knot with Malla. He clarified that it’s not the finances but its emotional stability.

When Karan asked if he is getting married anytime soon, Arjun answered, "No. And honestly, because it's been two years of this lockdown and Covid and whatever was transpiring. I wanted to focus on my career. I'm a very realistic person Karan, it's not like I need to hide anything. I'm not sitting here and being coy. I really would like to be professionally a little more stable. I'm not talking about financially, I'm talking about emotionally. I would like to do work that makes me happy. Because if I'm happy, I can make my partner happy, I can live a happy life. I feel a lot of my happiness comes from my work,” he said.

Meanwhile, Arjun and Malaika made their relationship official a couple of years ago. Since then, their wedding rumours are doing rounds on the internet. Well, Arjun’s latest statement on his marriage plans will hopefully keep the speculations out of way for some time now.
