Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcome their son Akaay into the world; Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh shower love

Pregnancy rumours can never be believed when it comes to the entertainment industry. There is always a 50-50 chance. So when rumours of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy began doing the rounds, we patiently waited for confirmation from her and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli. Well, much to the delight of their fans and followers, the power couple of our country have finally shared the good news officially on social media. That’s right! Virat and Anushka have welcomed their daughter Vamika Kohli’s little brother into the world.

Anushka and Virat’s second child, a beautiful baby boy, was born on 15th February 2024. Announcing the birth of their baby, and introducing him to the world, Anushka and Virat shared a join statement which read: “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay / अकाय & Vamika's little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude, Virat & Anushka.”

As soon as the good news hit the internet, fans and friends went crazy with joy in the comment section below. Actresses Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Bhumi Pednekar wrote ‘congratulations’ with heart emojis, whereas Anushka’s Band Baaja Baaraat co-star Ranveer Singh shared: “♥️🧿♥️🧿♥️🧿♥️🧿.” Fellow Bollywood star and celebrity mother Alia Bhatt wrote: “How beautiful! Congratulations ❤”, whereas a fan of the couple shared, “Best wishes for your little prince.”

Virat and Anushka tied the nuptial knot in a private ceremony in Italy, back in 2017. In January 2021, the happily married couple welcomed their daughter Vamika into the world. Akaay’s arrival adds beauty to an already perfect family photo. We wish the happy family all the love and joy in the world.
