Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is quite active on social media, tied the knot with Kirron Kher in 1985. He is a loving father to Kirron’s son from her former marriage, actor Sikander Kher. Even after 39 years of marriage, the couple did not have their own kids. In a recent interview, Anupam Kher spoke about feeling the void of not having kids but understands that it is not a tragedy.

During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, the DDLJ actor stated that he feels happy with Sikander, but thinks that it would have been nice to witness a child growing up with whom he could have formed a bond. Kher added that though it is not a tragedy, he thinks it would have been a joyous experience. Speaking further about this, Anupam Kher said that he had been extremely busy with work for much of his life but after turning 50, he started feeling a sense of void after Kirron and Sikander became occupied with their commitments.
He said, “I didn’t feel it that much before, but now sometimes I do feel like it. I think in the last seven-eight years. It's not like, I am not happy with Sikander, but I think it's a joy to see a child growing up. It's a joy to see bonding and this is an honest answer to you. I could have avoided to answer this, but I don’t want to do that. But, it’s okay. It’s not a tragedy in my life. But, I sometimes feel it would have been a nice thing.”
For those unaware, Anupam was earlier married to actress Madhumati Kapoor, while Kirron was formerly married to Gautam Berry with whom she had a son named Sikander.

Tanvi: The Great marks the actor’s second venture as a director. Vijay 69 is about a 69-year-old man who begins training for a triathlon and refuses to back down from following his ambitions.
