Anil Kapoor on his reaction after learning about Sonam Kapoor's pregnancy, reveals he does not want her to be this kind of mom

Anil Kapoor is soon to be a grandfather after his daughter and actress Sonam Kapoor announced her pregnancy with her husband Anand Ahuja in March this year. The beaming soon-to-be grandpa recently revealed in a media interaction about his reaction when he first learned about his daughter’s pregnancy. However, apart from this, he also spoke about the kind of mother that he does not want Sonam to be.

According to a news report in India Today, Anil Kapoor revealed during a media interaction that he felt emotional and happy after learning about his daughter Sonam Kapoor’s pregnancy. The Dil Dhadakne Do actor then revealed the kind of mother that he does not want his daughter to be. On this, Anil said that he does not wish for Sonam to be an overprotective mother.

Anil Kapoor was quoted to say, “These days, moms are a little overprotective. When I overhear things from my wife, I feel you should not be too protective." For the unversed, Sonam Kapoor also hosted a baby shower recently which saw some tasty food, aesthetic décor, and some musical performances.

On the occasion of Sonam Kapoor’s birthday (June 9), earlier this month, Anil Kapoor had penned down a heartfelt note for her. The 1942: A Love Story actor had stated, “Dear @sonamkapoor, If there's anything that makes up for not being able to celebrate your birthday with you this year, it's the anticipation that the next time we see you, we'll be that much closer to holding our grandchild in our arms! Parenthood is a see saw between being happy for your children as they create their own lives and being sad that they're not always around you anymore....you'll see for yourself soon enough! Happy birthday my darling girl! We can't wait to see you, Anand, and our little prince(ss) soon.” On the work front, he is gearing up for his upcoming release Jugjugg Jeeyo .
