The latest Tamil war biopic, Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has been making huge waves across theaters as the movie garners overwhelming responses following its release. Already termed a Diwali blockbuster, the film has gained massive momentum for its stellar performances and heartwarming story, which honors the legacy of Major Mukund Varadarajan.
Kamal Haasan, who produced the film under his home banner Raaj Kamal International Films, recently penned a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude towards the well-wishers and team who contributed to the film’s success.

Taking to his social media pages, Ulaganayagan acknowledged the overwhelming response the film has received and shared insights into the many days of work that went into making it. In a long note written in Tamil (translated), the actor wrote, “Amaran has been receiving overwhelming responses at all the theatres. When we announced the movie, I remember saying, ‘Some works bring joy, while others bring honor and pride. Amaran will bring pride to everyone.’ The success Amaran has achieved, after more than 1,000 days of hard work, reaffirms my belief that ‘the people will celebrate a good movie.’”
The veteran Tamil actor went on to heap praise on the lead cast and crew, including Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, for perfectly embodying their roles as Major Mukund Varadarajan and his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese. “This film marks a new dimension in Sivakarthikeyan’s cinematic journey,” he noted.

He also praised G.V. Prakash for creating exceptional music for the film. The actor added that making a film about a brave soldier’s life is challenging, and director Rajkumar Periasamy skilfully crafted an engaging film. "Periasamy conducted thorough research, collected extensive information, and crafted an engaging screenplay. Shooting in challenging locations and overcoming many obstacles, he has kept the spirit of Amaran alive, lighting it as a torch in honor of Major Mukund Varadarajan. Rajkumar Periasamy’s passion, effort, and dedication are truly commendable," he wrote.
Thanking the entire cast and crew, the Indian 2 actor noted, "A good movie is not just one person's dream; it is a collective dream that requires the commitment of the director, lead actor, producer, and the entire team, all working together with faith in its goodness."
He concluded his note by stating, "Amaran has become a proud tribute to the Tamil hero who gave his life to protect our land and tells a story that highlights the unknown sacrifices of military families. Along with my brother R. Mahendran and Rajkamal Films International, I take great pride in this. Jai Hind."
