Alia Bhatt stuns in a maroon short dress at an event, reacts to being called 'Aalu ji' by paparazzi; watch

Alia Bhatt on Wednesday night graced the GQ Men of the Year awards in a maroon short dress. She pulled off the stylish ensemble with high-heeled loafers. She opted for short hair in a fuss-free straight bob to complete her look. As she posed for the shutterbugs, paparazzi called her ‘Aalu ji’, to which she reacted, “Ye kya naya shuru kiya hai ‘Aalu ji’ (What is this new thing you have started).” Nevertheless, she made an OK sign and a heart sign with her hands after striking a few poses. The actress won the Outstanding Achievement award at the event.

As the video surfaced online, the netizens were quick to pass remarks on Alia’s look. While her fans swooned over her style statement, some said she resembled her elder sister Pooja Bhatt. A fan wrote, “EXCEPT her shoes which are quite eccentric, I think she looks gorgeous contrary to what most of the people are espousing in the comments. Her hair gives her that diva look and who can forget dark color to contrast her beautiful fair skin. One can definitely not forget the deep neck line in there too!” Another commented, “She looks so nice! THIS should be her style!”

Besides Alia, several celebrities made a stylish entry at the red carpet of GQ event. Wamiqa Gabbi stole the limelight with her quirky appearance in an oversized navy suit with a cigar in her mouth. Karan Johar wore a chunky green jacket to the party, while Shahid Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sunny Deol, Rajveer Deol and Karan Deol looked dapper in formals. Among others, Shruti Haasan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kirti Kulhari were also in attendance.
