Alia Bhatt has responded to Kangana Ranaut ’s long note predicting the failure of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi at a recent event. The Manikarnika actress said “200cr will be burnt to ashes” at the box office this Friday where she called Alia ‘papa ki pari’ who was wrongly cast in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film.
Though Kangana has also used strong words for Alia in the past, this time her note was met with a response as the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress was asked for her reaction at a promotional event. Alia, her response to Kangana’s harsh predictions simple and quoted the Bhagwad Gita avoiding negative press.
Alia said, "Lord Krishna had said in the Gita that inaction is an action. That's all I want to say."
Kangana had shared her long note on Gangubai Kathiawadi on Monday where she also dragged in Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt ’s name.
“This Friday 200cr will be burnt to ashes at the box office ... for a papa (movie mafia daddy) ki pari (who likes to keep a British passport) because papa wants to prove that romcom bimbo can act... biggest drawback of the film is wrong casting...yeh nahi sudhrenge (these people won't change) no wonder screens are going to South and Hollywood films ... Bollywood is destined for doom jab tak movie mafia has power,” Kangana had written in her Instagram stories.
In a different story, Kangana targeted filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and added, "Bollywood mafia daddy papa Jo who has single-handedly ruined the work culture in the film industry has emotionally manipulated many big directors and forced his products of mediocrity on their cinematic brilliance, another example will be following soon after this release... people need to stop entertaining him, in this Friday release even a big hero and greatest director are the new victims of his manipulations."
Alia Bhatt is collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time with Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actress will be seen essaying the role of the Mafia Queen on Mumbai based on a chapter on author Hussain Zaidi’s book.
The trailer of the film has been well-received and the movie premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival opening to positive reviews. The movie arrives in cinemas on February 25.
