After winning hearts with their chemistry in Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor proceeded into a fruitful 2023, which was a year of hits. Alia left us in awe of her incredible performance and cassata sarees in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, co-starring Ranveer Singh. Her actor husband Ranbir, on the other hand, dropped jaws with his versatility in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action drama Animal. Well, the two were honoured for their mind blowing work last night at the 69th Filmfare Awards, which were held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Celebrating their win, Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor penned a special note. She shared a picture of the two from last night along with a snap of them from Filmfare Awards 2019. Neetu wrote: “I secretly prayed n wished a repeat of 2019 ( Sanju razi ) so happy it happened again !!! Congratulations both of you ❤️❤️ proud very very proud 💕🙌 #animal #rockyranikipremkahani.” Well, Raha must be proud that her parents, Ranbir and Alia, returned home with the Best Actor trophies last night. But for netizens, the highlight of the awards ceremony is a video of the two grooving to Bobby Deol’s entry song Jamal Kudu from Animal.
This video went viral last night and won several hearts, much like Bobby did with his charm despite less screen time in Animal. Ranbir, who was performing on stage, hurried down and pulled his wife in for an impromptu dance where they kept glasses on their heads. Fans were obviously impressed and have been showering love on this clip ever since it surfaced on the internet. One social media user wrote: “that song shud b picturised on ranbir sir..! ❤️❤️”, whereas another comment read: “It looks like Prabhu Deva choreography 🙌🔥😍.”
Well, we are now eagerly waiting to see Ranbir and Alia reunite on-screen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev.
