Actors Alia Bhatt, Allu Arjun and Kriti Sanon were honoured for their work and talent yesterday at the 69th National Film Awards. The winners have now taken to their official social media handles to express their joy by sharing unseen pictures from the ceremony. Alia, who was rewarded for her incredible performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, arrived for the event with her actor husband Ranbir Kapoor. She looked breathtaking in her ivory Sabyasachi saree, which she had first worn on her wedding day. Her string of memories included a selfie with Ranbir clicked right after she received the award, snaps from the vanity room and a photo with fellow winners Kriti and Allu.
Along with another picture, where she flaunted her wedding saree, Alia wrote, “A special day calls for a special outfit. After receiving the prestigious award from President Droupadi Murmu, Kriti celebrated the victory with her mother and father. She shared cute pictures where the proud parents can be seen showering her with love. In the caption below, Kriti wrote: “The feeling is not easy to describe in words.. 🥹🦋Today will be one of the most memorable days of my life! 🧿❤️🙏🏻Missed you @nupursanon 🥹❤️.”
Kriti won the award for Best Actress with her magnificent portrayal of Mimi in Laxman Utekar’s 2021 comedy drama. Another winner who celebrated his victory on social media was actor Sidharth Malhotra. His blockbuster hit film Shershaah was honoured with the Special Jury Award, which was received by producer Karan Johar.
