As JP Dutta’s LOC: Kargil clocks 20 years, actor Abhishek Bachchan took a stroll down memory lane and shared a few unseen pictures from the set. The actor also penned a note expressing gratitude to the veteran filmmaker for allowing him to be part of the film that honours true heroes in the Indian armed forces.
Taking to Instagram, the Dasvi actor wrote, “Time flies! Cannot believe it’s been 20 yrs since the release of L.O.C. Such great memories making the film with so many friends. But an even greater honour to be able to tell the stories of our true heroes in the Indian armed forces. Thank you JP sahab for choosing me and giving me the opportunity to be a part in the film.#20YearsOfLOCKargil.” Soon after, Neetu Kapoor and Shweta Bachchan dropped red heart emojis on his post.
Abhishek’s post enclosed four pictures featuring the film’s entire cast including Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Nagarjuna, Saif Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty and Akshaye Khanna among others. In the first and last pictures, Abhishek as Vikram Batra is seen giving a close shot for the camera. The second and third photos have the cast dressed in army uniform and posing for the camera. Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “@bachchan I truly feel it was one of your best performances and best debut. I loved that movie, the characters and I was in high school and developed a teenage crush on you. 😍 You were fantastic in that movie. Well done! Mr. Abhishek Bachchan” Another commented, “Such magnificent frames the film had... Dutta's films had visual poetry besides the narrative.. his frames his vision had epic proportions.... .“
Meanwhile, Abhishek was last seen in the sports drama Ghoomer, which is loosely based on the true-life story of a late athlete who suffered a catastrophic hand injury and went on to win two Olympic gold. The film also stars Saiyami Kher, Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi, while Amitabh Bachchan made a special appearance.
