Irrfan Khan 's son Babil Khan , who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Qala , recently opened up about taking forward his father’s legacy. The newbie was also asked what qualities of his father he would like to take forward and he said that he would like to explore his own set of qualities.

Speaking to the reporters at the event, Babil revealed that he faced the pressure of upholding his father’s legacy and it would affect and scare him. "There is a lot of pressure. Two years ago, when we were shooting, at that time also the pressure was there. It would affect me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better work. Further, Babil added that he would like to take forward his career with his own qualities. "Mere father ki jo khubiya thi woh leke chale gaye. Ab mein apni khubiya explore karunga. (My father took his qualities with him, now I'll explore mine),” he stated. On foraying into showbiz, he said, "I am charting my journey. We have this illusion that we think we are in control of our journey. We are not. So I’ll improvise what life throws at me. I want to explore everything. I want to do all kinds of films, play all kinds of characters and explore." To note, the talented actor Irrfan Khan died in 2020 after battling a neuroendocrine tumor for two years.
Meanwhile, Qala is directed by Anvitaa Dutt and also stars Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial, Neer Raao, Avinash Raj Sharma and Ashish Singh. The psychological drama is produced by Anushka Sharma's brother Karnesh Ssharma under his banner Clean Slate Filmz. It will stream on Netflix on December 1, 2022.
