Aamir Khan to play fiery basketball coach in his next with Anushka Sharma; deets inside

Chaddha to redeem his huge losses. And he has finalized one to be his next project as per reports. Much like his earlier film which was an adaption of the American film Forrest Gump, once again the actor has put his hands on another such remake but this time of Spanish film. Yes, the actor is gearing up a Hindi remake of the Spanish film Campeones , and reuniting with his PK co-star Anushka Sharma for the same.

Talking about Campeones, the Spanish comedy-drama directed by Javier Fesser was released in 2018. Set against the background of the basketball game, the film revolves around a team created with people with intellectual disabilities that won championships. It was the biggest national blockbuster of the year. Well, the upcoming Hindi remake will be set in Punjab, in which Aamir will play the role of hot-headed minor league basketball coach of the team whose players are handicapped.

According to Peepingmoon, the film will be helmed by Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan’s director RS Prasanna. The makers have begun the pre-production schedule and are reportedly busy with location scouting, casting, and other aspects of the film. Aamir has locked his dates to start shooting in January after returning from America. While Anushka will also start shooting after wrapping up her upcoming sports drama, Chakda Express.It is also reported that trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will be working on the music for the upcoming film bankrolled by Sony Pictures.

Meanwhile, Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha failed miserably at the box office. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. Shah Rukh Khan made a special appearance in the film. Well, his next project was much-awaited, and now we are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the same.
