'Aaj nepo gang kaha busy hai?': Kangana Ranaut takes a subtle dig at Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's positive reviews

As Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani made way to theatres today, so are actress Kangana Ranaut’s indirect digs at the filmmaker on social media. On Friday, the Tanu Weds Manu actress felt neglected as no rumours targeting her or her films hit headlines today while wondering where are the ‘nepo gang’ busy. She also highlighted a Twitter exchange about ‘fake hype’, taking a subtle dig at Karan’s film.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana wrote, “Mere baarein me subah se ek bhi baseless negative news nahi aayi, mere fake quotes bhi media ko mass mail nahi kiye gaye ye negative and damaging rumours about my projects or year old films scenes out of context use karke unko sexualise karke mujhe harass bhi nahi kiya ja raha. Itna sannata kyu hai?? Kahi lanka mein aag toh nahi lag gayi Koi pata toh karo aaj nepo gang kaha busy hai?”. In the another Instagram story, she posted a screenshot of a Twitter conversation where film analyst Raj Bansal said, “I have been warning the Hindi film industry to be careful with film trade analysts who hype your films to the skies before release. They are jinxed. Keep a safe distance.” reacting to which producer Girish Johar said, “True that Sir.... Fake hype is simply inconsequential! .“ Take a look here:

Talking about Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt n the lead roles. Directed and produced by Karan, the film is receiving largely positive reviews even before its release. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had written, “#KaranJohar gets it right with #RRKPK… Well-packaged entertainer that encompasses drama, emotions, romance, music seamlessly… #RanveerSingh fantastic, #AliaBhatt superb… Has merits to emerge a success story.” Released on July 28, 2023, the film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.

Coming back to Kangana, she is geared up for the release of her upcoming directorial, Emergency, a political drama in which she will be essaying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She recently raved reviews for her production venture Tiku Weds Sheru starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur.
