WayV set to return this November with mini album 'FREQUENCY' — Meet the members!

WayV, the fourth sub-unit of NCT based in China, has announced its upcoming comeback this month! Their new album, titled "FREQUENCY", will be their 6th mini album and is set to be released on November 25, with a special pre-release song and music video for "HIGH FIVE" debuting on November 19.

WayV also shared the official teaser schedule for FREQUENCY, indicating that concept photos will be unveiled from November 12 to November 21. The first teasers for the FREQUENCY music video are expected to drop on November 23.

Let's meet the members: Kun, Ten, WinWin, XiaoJun, Hendery, and YangYang. On May 10, SM Entertainment and Label V announced that Lucas would be leaving both NCT and WayV to focus on his endeavours.

Kun

Birth Name: Qian Kun

Position: Leader, Main Vocalist, Sub Rapper

Birthday: January 1, 1996

Born in Fujian, China, Kun is a talented pianist, songwriter, composer, and choreographer. He was introduced as an SM Rookie on December 18, 2015, and joined NCT on January 30, 2018. After living in Taiwan for two years and being part of the Taiwanese group Change, he debuted with WayV in 2019. 

Ten

Birth Name: Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul

Position: Main Dancer, Main Vocalist, Sub Rapper, Center

Birthday: February 27, 1996

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Ten developed a passion for dance after watching the movie "Step Up 2". In 2011, he won the "Teen Pop Star" talent show in Thailand and joined SM Entertainment in 2013 through their Global Audition. He also participated in "Hit The Stage" and is a member of both NCT U and SUPER M.

WinWin

Birth Name: Dong Si Cheng

Position: Lead Dancer, Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist, Visual

Birthday: October 28, 1997

Born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China, Winwin was discovered while performing traditional Chinese dance at school. Initially wary of strangers, he didn't trust the SM agents and repeatedly provided them with a false phone number for two years. On September 30, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that Winwin had established his own studio for acting in China.

Xiaojun

Birth Name: Xiao Dejun

Position: Main Vocalist

Birthday: August 8, 1999

Born in Guangdong, China, on July 17, 2018, he was introduced as an SM Rookie. He participated in the Chinese survival show "X-Fire". On December 31, 2018, it was announced that he would debut with WayV.

Hendery

Birth Name: Wong Kunhang/Huang Guanheng

Position: Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub Vocalist, Visual

Birthday: September 28, 1999

Born in Macau, China, on July 17, 2018, he was introduced as an SM Rookie. On December 31, 2018, it was announced that he would debut with WayV.

YangYang

Birth Name: Liu YangYang

Position: Main Rapper, Main Dancer, Sub Vocalist, Maknae

Birthday: October 10, 2000

Born in Taiwan, he moved to Germany at the age of 11, where he lived for six years. He passed the SM Global Auditions and joined SM Entertainment in the summer of 2016. He was introduced as an SM Rookie on July 17, 2018, and it was announced on December 31, 2018, that he would debut with WayV.
