UK Music Video Awards 2024: BTS RM's 'LOST!' and V's 'FRI(END)S' shine with multiple nominations

BTS RM's 'LOST!' and V's 'FRI(END)S'
Adding more achievements to their impressive list, two members of the global sensation Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) - RM and V - have been nominated for the UK Music Video Awards (UKMVA) 2024. The UKMVA celebrates the creativity behind music videos, recognizing the work of professionals in the industry, with winners selected by industry experts.
Kim Namjoon, known as RM, has been nominated in three categories for his song 'LOST!': Best Alternative Music Video (International), Best Production Design in a Video, and Best Visual Effects in a Video. Meanwhile, Kim Taehyung, also known as V, received a nomination for his song 'FRI(END)S' in the Best Pop Video (International) category.

Despite both artists currently serving in South Korea’s mandatory military service, they continue to garner significant recognition for their work.
Where is RM and V:
The two BTS members enlisted in the South Korean military together on December 11, 2023. They spent about a month undergoing basic training together before being assigned to different units. Both are expected to complete their military service and be discharged by June 2025.
Taehyung is currently serving in the 2nd Division Military Police Corps, specifically in the Ssangyong Unit, also known as the Rok II Corps Military Police or the "Double Dragons." RM, on the other hand, is part of the Special Task Force under the Capital Defence Command. He recently earned a promotion to Corporal, marking a significant achievement in his military service.

The UK Music Video Awards 2024 winners will be revealed at the ceremony on October 24 at Magazine London. The event will honour directors, production companies, and other filmmaking talents in categories such as Cinematography, Production Design, Choreography, Styling, Editing, Animation, and Visual Effects.
Since its inception in 2008, the UKMVAs have grown into a leading global awards program for music video creativity, attracting entries from 33 different countries.
