This is 'Right People Wrong Place' in reality - BTS' Jin to give 'hugs' on his return; international ARMY feel jealous

After months of being left "unsupervised" by the seven members of BTS due to their enlistment in the South Korean military, the time has finally come for the first member to be discharged from his duties—the eldest member, Kim Seokjin. His timing is also perfect as his return coincides with BTS' anniversary. On June 2 (KST), BIGHIT MUSIC revealed details of the global sensation's upcoming grand celebrations for their 11th debut anniversary with the annual festivities of BTS Festa.

Jin will be coming back for the 2024 BTS Fest and celebrating the special day with the K-pop act's fans, called ARMY. The boy group's label revealed an "in-person event led by BTS member Jin" will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Jamsil Arena in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu in Seoul. They stated it would be "a time for light hugs with Jin per request from the artist." 

This announcement left international ARMY feeling jealous of the fans in South Korea, with many even quoting rapper RM's latest album, "Right Place, Wrong Person," but rephrased it as "this is Right People Wrong Place in reality."

Following the Greetings session, the second event of the day will commence at 8 PM KST and will last for about an hour. The "Message from Jin" session will see the beloved performer "showcase various performances that ARMY wish to see." Weverse will exclusively stream the second session for fans with ARMY Membership.

Where is BTS?

All seven men—Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jung-kook—are currently serving their mandatory military duty. The group is anticipated to reunite as a whole by June 2025.

While Jin and J-Hope are serving as drill instructors at their respective military training camps, Suga is fulfilling his service as a social service agent following his shoulder surgery. RM is stationed at the 15th Infantry Division, while V has been deployed to the ROK II Corps. Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook have reportedly joined the 5th Infantry Division.
