Geffen Records senior executive Ray Kurzeka mocked BTS' fans, known as ARMY, on X (formerly known as Twitter) when they were requesting promotional efforts.

Why is BTS, one of the biggest groups in the world, still facing issues in the West, particularly from the label responsible for distributing and promoting their albums - Geffen Records? Previously, there were issues with BTS' Kim Taehung aka V's solo album "LAYOVER" and the digital single 'FRI(END)S', and now similar issues have arisen with Jimin's second solo album "MUSE".

What's even more shocking is that Geffen Records senior executive Ray Kurzeka mocked BTS' fans, known as ARMY, on X (formerly known as Twitter) when they were requesting promotional efforts. Their main requests included preordering the pre-release track and providing the album without random inclusions for the European market. The latter is crucial because random inclusions can exclude sales from chart counts in Europe, potentially affecting the album's performance.

Ray Kurzeka's Response to BTS ARMY

A fan on X had directly requested Geffen Records and senior vice president Ray Kurzeka's attention regarding Jimin's upcoming pre-release song, "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band" (featuring Loco)." However, Ray Kurzeka's response has further validated ARMY's suspicions that the lack of promotion is not accidental.

Instead of addressing the fans' concerns, Ray Kurzeka shared a Spotify link to "Us," a song by Gracie Abrams featuring Taylor Swift, commenting, "song of the year." Kurzeka's reply has given the fandom reason to believe that the label has chosen to prioritize their new artist at Jimin's expense, openly mocking the fans who have contributed millions to their companies over the years.

Ray Kurzeka's Response to BTS ARMY

Soon, fans flooded X (formerly known as Twitter), demanding answers from Geffen Records, HYBE, BigHit, and others, questioning what was happening and why this sabotage continued to affect BTS members.

Interestingly, Ray Kurzeka deleted his X, Instagram and even Linkedin profiles after ARMY flooded every social media with messages.

    Jimin's Solo Album:

On June 17, BIGHIT MUSIC teased a mysterious clip featuring Jimin with the caption "Coming Soon." Shortly afterward, the label officially announced Jimin's second solo album, MUSE, slated for release on July 19.

As the July 19 release date draws near, fans continue to advocate for better treatment, hoping their efforts will ensure a successful launch. The pre-release track is scheduled for June 28 and ARMY wants to give back by charting his songs high while he is with the other members enlisted in the South Korean military.
