Meet the members of KATSEYE: New girl group under HYBE set to debut on June 28

All set to finally make their debut on June 28 is the girl group formed through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records - KATSEYE! Recently, they confirmed their debut date via their YouTube channel with a teaser that also unveiled their official logo. Inspired by the Cat's Eye gemstone, the logo represents the group's name and symbolizes their upcoming journey in the music industry.

The six-member global girl group - Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae - was formed through HYBE and Universal Music's Geffen Records' collaborative music survival show, "The Debut: Dream Academy," in 2023. Let's meet the members.

Manon

Birth Name: Meret Manon Bannerman

Birth date: June 26, 2002

This young lady from Swiss, Italian, and Ghanaian descent was placed sixth in the final round of the show. Her birthplace was Zürich, Switzerland, and she was a photography model. She looks up to Billie Eilish, but her idol is Beyoncé. Since she was five years old, she has been writing music.

Sophia

When the results were finally announced, the Filipino girl had won first place. She is an avid follower of BTS and holds Kim Taehyung, also known as V, in high regard as her favourite and role model. Her motivation for applying to the audition was her adoration for BTS. Her other role model is Huh Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM and also likes Jungwon and ENHYPEN.

Daniela

Birth date: July 1, 2004

This American girl of Venezuelan and Cuban descent occupied the third place in the final round. Originally from Los Angeles, Georgia, and Atlanta, she is a multi-talented person as she has been an actress, model, and ballroom dancer. She has also made notable appearances on shows like "So You Think You Can Dance?", "Super Kids Europe", and "America's Got Talent".

Lara

Birth Name: Lara Rajagopalan

Birth date: November 3, 2005

In the last round, this American girl of Indian descent came in second. Her role in Michelle Obama's Global Girls Alliance promotional film helped her become well-known. Because of their grace and skill in dancing, she looks up to Jimin from BTS and NI-KI from ENHYPEN as role models.

Megan

Yoonchae
