Meet BOYNEXTDOOR: K-Pop boy group sensation reveals comeback date for '19.99'

BOYNEXTDOOR, the South Korean 6-member boy group under KOZ Entertainment, made their debut on May 30, 2023. The members—Jaehyun, Sungho, Riwoo, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak—are now gearing up for their new comeback. On August 12, the K-pop boy group officially announced the date and details of their upcoming return next month.

BOYNEXTDOOR will be releasing their third EP, "19.99", on September 9 at 6 PM KST, and their fans, known as ONEDOOR, are eagerly anticipating it. While everyone is excited about the comeback, this article is for those who want to learn more about the six members.

Jaehyun

Birth Name: Myung Jae Hyun

Position: Leader

Born on December 4, 2003, in Daebang, Dongjak, Seoul, South Korea, Jaehyun later moved abroad. He was the final member to join BOYNEXTDOOR, auditioning on the last day of the other members’ monthly evaluation. This meant he began preparing for his debut with the group almost immediately after joining. Jaehyun is also a former trainee of YG Entertainment.

Sungho

Birth Name: Park Sung Ho

Position: Main Vocalist

Born on September 4, 2003, in Wonju, Gangwon, South Korea, he is the oldest member of the group. Known for his broad shoulders, his nickname is ‘Shoulders,’ but the members affectionately call him ‘Top Gun.’

Riwoo

Birth Name: Lee Sang Hyuk

Position: Main Dancer

Born on October 22, 2003, in Beon-dong, Gangbuk, Seoul, South Korea, Riwoo has participated in several dance talent shows. He joined KOZ Entertainment one month after Sungho and attended Hanlim Multi Art School.

Taesan

Birth Name: Han Dong Min

Position: Vocalist, Rapper, Visual

Born on August 10, 2004, in Hwajeong-dong, Seo, Gwangju, South Korea, Taesan trained the longest among the members. He began his training in 2016, during his first year of middle school, and continued for 7 years until 2023.

Leehan

Birth Name: Kim Dong Hyun

Position: Vocalist, Visual

Leehan, who was born in Allak-dong, Dongnae, Busan, South Korea, on October 20, 2004, is passionate about flora and fauna. In fact, KOZ Entertainment gave him a fish tank to use in his hostel. At the age of five, he started practising Taekwondo and also took great pride in his ability to participate in any kind of water sport.

Woonhak

Birth Name: Kim Woon Hak

Position: Maknae, Vocalist

Born on November 29, 2006, in Iui-dong, Yeongtong, Suwon, Gyeonggi, South Korea, Woonhak initially aimed to be a dancer, composer, or rapper. He realized that a K-pop career would help him achieve these and spent over three years training, with two years dedicated to stage preparation. Despite missing the initial auditions due to oversleeping, KOZ Entertainment reached out to him after hearing about his skills, leading him to audition for the agency.
