K-pop girl group BLACKSWAN made their highly anticipated comeback with the release of their music video for "Roll Up," the lead single from their debut mini-album of the same name. Dropped on July 31, 2024, the video showcases members Fatou, Gabi, Sriya, and NVee embracing a girl crush concept, featuring bold costumes, striking visuals, and intricate choreography.
In addition to their music comeback, BLACKSWAN will also be featured in Apple TV+'s six-part documentary series called 'K-Pop Idols'. The series will follow BLACKSWAN, along with Korean-American rapper-singer Jessi and boy band CRAVITY, as they navigate the intense realities of the K-pop industry. Fatou
Name: Samba Fatou Diouf
Position: Leader, Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub-Vocalist
Birthday: March 23, 1995
Born in Yoff, Senegal, Fatou relocated to Tienen/Tirlemont, Belgium at the age of 12. On July 3, 2020, she was revealed as the fourth member of BLACKSWAN. Following Youngheun's departure, Fatou assumed the role of the group's new leader. Before becoming a trainee, she worked as a model under Cineline Entertainment.
NVee
Name: Florence Alena Smith
Position: Main Vocalist
Birthday: January 10, 1999
Born in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, she later lived in South Jordan, Utah. On November 17, 2022, DR Music announced her as one of the four successful candidates from the 2022 Cygnus Project global auditions. Additionally, she appeared in "Avatar: The Last Airbender Part 1".
Gabi
Name: Gabriela Strassburger Dalcin
Position: Sub-Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Visual
Birthday: November 7, 2002
Born in Santa Catarina, Brazil, she was a dancer with 1MILLION and performed as part of the dance group "Queen of Revolution" under the name Gabs. She spent six months in the trainee project Cygnus before joining BLACKSWAN.
Sriya
Name: Shreya Lenka
Position: Lead Vocalist, Main Dancer, Maknae
Birthday: September 15, 2003
Born in Jharsuguda, Odisha, India, she began serious training five years ago and is recognized as the first Indian idol in the K-pop industry. Despite numerous failed auditions, her perseverance paid off when she auditioned for DR Music and was accepted as a trainee. Before her debut, she was a contemporary dancer.
