Even though it’s only early September, K-pop fans are already eagerly anticipating October, which promises a flurry of activity. Several groups have confirmed their comebacks, and many highly anticipated returns are on the horizon.
As companies rush to make announcements, it’s clear that the month will be filled with exciting new releases and plenty of buzz. Here's a preview of what to expect.
BTS' J-hope
The rapper is scheduled to return from the military in October 2024. He previously stated that he obtained an early promotion and is now a sergeant. ARMY has speculated that he may embark on a solo tour similar to SUGA's, with him having released several mixtapes and solo albums.
ITZY
The girl group are ready to return to the stage, as announced by JYP Entertainment. This reunion will be especially noteworthy because it will see Lia's return to the group after a nearly year-long absence. Their most recent release was "Born to Be" in early 2024, while their last with Lia was "Kill My Doubt" in July 2023.
BLACKPINK's LISA
The rapper from one of the top K-pop girl groups has been busy releasing a series of singles, and on October 4, she will drop another track titled "Moonlit Floor." Lisa debuted the song with a surprise performance at the Global Citizen Festival ahead of its official release.
ILLIT
The girl group is preparing for a comeback next month. According to music industry insiders on September 10, they are in the final stages of preparation. It has also been reported that they have finished filming the music video for their upcoming track.
SEVENTEEN
The group has prepared to release their 12th mini album and PLEDIS Entertainment announced Weverse in early August. Their agency confirmed that the new music will also be featured on their upcoming SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR.
MISAMO
On July 30, TWICE's first sub-unit featuring Mina, Sana, and Momo released a comeback teaser poster. It showcased a street scene in New York City and was captioned, "MISAMO 2024.10.30 Release."
STAYC
The group has hinted about their October comeback in a teaser video aired on September 1. This will be their newest release, following the release of their debut studio album on July 1.
NOMAD
NOMAD Entertainment has announced that the group will release their first single album in October. This marks the group's comeback, eight months after their debut EP, 'NOMAD.'
BLACKPINK's Jennie
In a statement shared by her agency OA Entertainment (ODD ATELIER), they confirmed Jennie's solo comeback in October. "Jennie has signed a partnership with major USA record label Columbia Records and will make her comeback with a solo single in October".

Although not officially confirmed, the K-pop girl group has stated that their title track for the comeback is titled "WHIPLASH."
KISS OF LIFE
The group is returning with a new album set to be released in mid-October. This will follow their digital single "Sticky," which was released in July. It will also mark the commencement of their first international tour, which will begin in Seoul at the end of the month.
BABYMONSTER
It was already stated by Yang Hyun Suk - YG Entertainment's founder - that the girl group was gearing up to release a full-length album around October.
Jay Park
Singer and producer Jay Park is set to make his long-awaited return with the release of his first full-length album, "THE ONE YOU WANTED", his first since 2019's "The Road Less Traveled".

The boy group under NEWWAYS COMPANY will make a comeback on October 4 with their second single album 'Conversion Part. 1'. They raised expectations for their comeback by releasing a timetable image through Ascent's official SNS.
BEWAVE
The girl group is set to release a new album in October. Their agency Gold Dust Entertainment announced on September 10 KST that BEWAVE will soon begin promoting their upcoming album through their official channels.
DUSTIN
