Featuring three K-pop stars—a soloist, a girl group, and a boy band—Apple TV+ is set to release a six-part documentary series titled 'K-Pop Idols', which will make its global debut at the end of the month (August). The series will offer a unique and refreshing look into the high-stakes world of K-pop and the lives of the artists namely Korean-American rapper-singer Jessi, boy band CRAVITY (9 members: Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin) and global girl group BLACKSWAN (4 members: Fatou, Gabi, Sriya and NVee).

The documentary will follow the lives of the artists as they navigate the intense realities of the industry. This series will show the idols dealing with the exuberant highs and painful lows of their careers, emulating the unvarnished storytelling seen in the 2012 K-pop documentary '9 Muses of Star Empire'.

In the teaser released, Allen from CRAVITY is seen talking about the demanding schedules that deprive K-pop idols of sleep, while Jessi breaks down in tears as she describes being left outside on her European tour. Bandmate Gabi of BLACKSWAN sheds tears as she challenges her position in the group and discusses her difficulties of being apart from her family for years.

The show will be looking to connect with a wider audience and the K-pop phenomenon's devoted fan base by exposing the frequently concealed weaknesses of the stars at the centre of this quickly expanding music industry. Filming of the same was done in several countries, including the US, South Korea, France, Belgium, Germany, and Cambodia.

Fans can also look forward to the appearances of famous friends of the artists featured in the series. 'K-Pop Idols' will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ globally on August 30.
