After a literal draught when it comes to group events, BLACKPINK has finally given their fans a ray of hope and joy as they announced a special fan signing event to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary. The announcement was made via BLACKPINK's Weverse channel, accompanied by an English statement. The event, titled 'OUR AREA WITH BLINK', is set to take place on August 8, commemorating the K-pop girl group's eight years since their debut.
However, the fan signing event will maintain an intimate atmosphere, with only 88 lucky BLINKs being selected to attend. The selection for the same will be based on fan submissions such as letters, photos, and art. Despite this exclusivity, fans eagerly anticipate the reunion of the four women — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa — after they went their own way for their individual solo endeavours. This event will mark their first public group appearance since November 21, 2023.
BLINKs took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their happiness to see the reunion and also being emotional as it's been a long time since the four were together.

We invite all BLINKS who love BLACKPINK to freely express their special feelings in various ways and share them using the hashtag #OUR_AREA_WITH_BLINK!
To celebrate the 8th debut anniversary, 88 participants who best express their love for BLACKPINK through fan letters, drawings, photos, or stories about their precious memories with BLACKPINK, will be invited to the fan signing event!
Any BLINK MEMBERSHIP (GLOBAL) member can participate in the fan signing invitation event ‘OUR AREA WITH BLINK'. We look forward to the participation of all BLINKs. Thank you".
