IVE's Wonyoung, An Yu Jin to ILLIT's Wonhee, Minju - Top 5 girl group member brand reputation rankings for May 2024

After major comebacks and numerous songs still trending on the charts, April end to May beginning has been particularly fruitful, especially for K-pop girl groups. With IVE making a comeback and ILLIT's debut song "Magnetic" still trending everywhere, it has been a treat for fans. Now, for May 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute has released the brand reputation rankings for individual girl group members from April 19 to May 19.

These rankings were determined by analyzing consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 675 girl group members, using big data collected. Let's take a look at the Top 5 of these girls followed by the other 25 girls on this list.

Jang Won Young:

With a brand reputation index of 8,145,942, IVE's Wonyoung topped the list this month. Her score has increased by an astounding 466.51 per cent since April. Her positive-negative analysis showed 91.72 per cent positive reactions.

An Yu Jin:

With a brand reputation index of 5,150,510 for May, IVE's An Yu Jin jumped to second place, increasing her score by 239.38 per cent from the previous month. IVE returned on April 29 with the release of their album "Ive Switch" and the "Heya" and "Accendio" music videos. 

Wonhee:

With a brand reputation index of 4,471,129, ILLIT's Wonhee is ranked third; her score has increased by 50.91 per cent since April. Though she has been spoken about since her debut, she was in the news recently when she was seen removing hateful comments from a Weverse live featuring her group.

Minju:

With a brand reputation index of 3,714,551 (a 38.01 per cent increase in her score), Minju of ILLIT came in fourth place. Since debuting in March 2024 with the album "Super Real Me," ILLIT has amassed a huge following.

Jennie:

With a brand reputation index of 3,714,551, BLACKPINK's Jennie finished in a tight fifth place. Her score has increased by 38.01 per cent since April. In addition to her pursuits, she has been busy walking the Met Gala 2024 red carpet.
