After facing criticism for not creating a Spotify playlist dedicated to Kim Taehyung, also known as V from BTS, the world's biggest group, HYBE is now under fire again for allegedly sabotaging the singer's visibility on the music app. Fans of the group, known as ARMY, have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their concerns.

They report that when they create a new Spotify account and search for BTS, suggestions appear for the group and the other six solo members, but V's profile requires a direct search. Fans are displeased with this and are questioning HYBE and BigHit Music if they are intentionally trying to obscure V and his music.
Previously, BigHit faced backlash for not creating a 'This is V' Spotify playlist for the singer. Spotify's guidelines state that only an artist's agency or organization can create an official playlist for them, leaving fans with no control over this process. This treatment of one member shocked the ARMY community.
In addition to the playlist issue, fans have raised concerns about the overall promotion of Taehyung's solo projects. They feel that the agency has not provided sufficient support for his solo endeavours compared to other BTS members.
Where is BTS' V?
Currently, Taehyung is serving in the South Korean military, having begun his service in December 2023. With the recent discharge of the eldest member, Jin, all other BTS members — RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook — are also serving in the military.
Before enlisting, Taehyung made his official debut with his album "LAYOVER" on September 8, 2023. Just a while ago, 'LAYOVER' became the first solo album by a K-pop artist to see every track surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. The final track to hit this milestone was the soulful "Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)," marking a remarkable achievement for Taehyung.
He enlisted post the debut of his album, but while serving, he also released a solo digital single titled 'FRI(END)' on March 15, 2024.
