BLACKPINK's Lisa at Global Citizen Festival 2024 in New York City’s Central Park on Saturday night (September 28) debuted her latest solo track, "Moonlit Floor," before its official release on October 3. "Moonlit Floor" follows the K-pop star's recent rollout of solo singles, including "Rockstar" in June and "New Woman" with Rosalía in August.

For those who feel like they have heard the hook before, it's from 'Sixpence None the Richer's hit song "Kiss Me", which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1998. The single appeared on the group's self-titled album, released in 1997.
While her fans—her new solo fandom, called Lillies or Lilies—were captivated by her latest single, one issue that continued to follow her was the lipsync accusation. Though there's no question about her dancing and performance skills, she faces online criticism when it comes to singing or rapping live, as some feel she uses the mic more as a prop than for live vocals.
Clips of her performance from Global Citizen Fest soon surfaced on social media and many expressed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that it would be great if she reduced her use of backtracks and sang live more often.
About Lisa's performance:
Lisa had the crowd screaming as she took over the Global Citizen Festival 2024 stage. The BLACKPINK star made history as the first female K-pop soloist to perform there, following in the footsteps of BTS superstar Jeon Jungkook. Lisa rocked the stage with five powerful performances and she sang and rapped to "LALISA," "MONEY," "MOONLIT FLOOR," "NEW WOMAN," and "ROCKSTAR."
On the work front:
After leaving YG Entertainment to pursue solo endeavors, Lisa launched her own label, LLOUD, in February 2024, and signed a deal with RCA Records. The rapper returned to the music scene after three long years with "ROCKSTAR" on June 28. She followed up with a collaboration with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía, titled "New Woman." Recently, Lisa teased her upcoming single, "So Kiss Me." Additionally, she's set to make her acting debut, joining the cast of "The White Lotus" for season 3.
