After the issue between HYBE and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin arose, concerns have emerged surrounding all the labels under the conglomerate. Currently, under scrutiny is the group created by Min Hee Jin - NewJeans. The group of five girls released their new song 'How Sweet' along with a music video (MV) on YouTube. However, since then, issues have arisen surrounding the MV, particularly due to the use of Coca-Cola - a brand currently facing boycott due to its support of Israel's actions against Palestine.

Now, a recent post from a Korean netizen has come to light, pointing out alarming similarities between NewJeans' 'How Sweet' music video and TLC Lisa Lopes's fatal car crash in 2002. According to the original poster (OP), they felt a "sense of familiarity" while watching the 'How Sweet' video and decided to share their findings online. They expressed disappointment with CEO Min Hee Jin if the unfortunate accident did indeed serve as inspiration for the music video.

    Lisa Lopes's deadly crash:

The fatal accident occurred on April 25, 2002. Lisa, also known as "Left Eye," was driving a rented red Mitsubishi Montero SUV in Honduras. The tragedy unfolded after the star veered out of her lane to avoid colliding with an oncoming car. This abrupt manoeuvre caused the vehicle to roll multiple times, even striking two trees before throwing Lopes and three others out through the windows. The SUV eventually came to rest in a roadside ditch.

Lisa, the sole fatality, succumbed to her injuries on-site, suffering a skull base fracture and severe head trauma. It was later revealed she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. It later emerged that the collision had been captured as part of a documentary film in which she was involved. The footage capturing the final moments of Lisa's life is available on YouTube and various social media platforms.

So what are the resemblances? Let's find out.

First and foremost, the most striking similarity is the car colour Lisa was driving during the accident, which has a striking resemblance to the vehicle depicted in the opening scenes of NewJeans' 'How Sweet' music video. It also shows the car ending up crashing at the side of the road. Netizens have also pointed out another parallel where the music video begins with a vlog-style format before the crash occurs.

Similarly, akin to Lisa in the video, one of the members of NewJeans, Hyein, is seen wearing a headpiece and turning to face the camera.

Moreover, in the footage of Lisa's final moments before the crash, she is seen holding a Coca-Cola box while driving, passing it to individuals in the backseat. In the NewJeans video, a member is seen leaving the car to retrieve a Coca-Cola bottle from the roadside and drink from it. However, it's important to acknowledge that this could potentially be part of a brand partnership between NewJeans and Coca-Cola.

This has caused an uproar online, however, supporters of NewJeans have criticized the original poster for exploiting the star's tragic death to advance an agenda against the group and Min Hee Jin. It remains to be seen if ADOR or Min Hee Jin will respond to these accusations.
