Captain Korea V! BTS Kim Taehyung's SDT uniform look leaves ARMY speechless; video goes VIRAL

    For those who don't know, BTS' V is a soldier in South Korea serving his mandatory military service which he began in December 2023.

    As mentioned by all, it's now an undeniable fact that BTS singer Kim Taehyung is the 'Idol of Idols'! Whatever he does, whether it's singing, dancing, acting, or simply staring into the camera, BTS' V can charm anyone. So, when a new video of him backstage at the 2024 Veterans Cultural Festival today (June 9) surfaced, especially him in his military uniform, it was inevitable that ARMY would be left speechless and drooling.

    The singer was recently seen chatting with BIG MAMA's Lee Ji-young in the Chuncheon district. However, what caught everyone's attention was his wearing his military uniform during this unexpected encounter. He was dressed in his all-black Special Duty Team (SDT) military uniform and stylish shades as he conversed with the veteran K-pop idol, causing a frenzy among his fans. Fans also felt a sense of pride seeing how humble the BTS singer was; before returning to his duties, he shook Lee Ji-young's hand and saluted her.

    Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express how handsome the global singer looked and how proud they were of the superstar.

    About BTS' V in the SDT unit:

    For those who don't know, V is currently a soldier in South Korea serving his mandatory military service. In December 2023, the musician started his required service. After spending five weeks at the military boot camp for basic training, he trained for three more weeks at the Army General Administration School before joining the ROK II Corps.

    The SDT is a specialist military police unit that is in charge of special operations, VIP protection, mobile strikes in metropolitan areas, anti-terrorism operations, and the initial response to violent crimes.

    On the work front for BTS V:

    Before enlisting, Taehyung released his solo album 'Layover' on September 2023. The lead hit from the album, "Slow Dancing," was one of six total tracks. Apart from his pursuits, the vocalist co-wrote a song with American singer UMI. 

    In addition, he demonstrated his acting abilities by making an appearance in the music video for "Love Wins All" by K-pop star IU. 

    He also gave fans more reasons to miss him as on March 15, BTS' label BIGHIT MUSIC released V's new single, 'FRI(END)S'.
