BTS' Jungkook joins Gold House's A100 Honorees; Jimin crowned 'Human Cherry Blossom'- ARMY feel proud

    ARMY had a field day celebrating these two achievements of their favourite artists, especially amid all the rumours and accusations the group and the fandom have faced.

    Two noteworthy news articles involving Jimin and Jungkook, members of the international sensational group BTS, surfaced on May 1, 2024. While Jungkook was recognized on Gold House's 2024 Most Impactful Asians A100 list, Jimin was chosen as the top "human cherry blossom" in both Korea and Japan.

    Regarding BTS' Jeon Jungkook:

    Pioneers paving the way in a variety of fields are recognized on Gold House's A100 list as part of the "new gold age." The Gold Gala, which will take place in Downtown Los Angeles on May 11, will commemorate these awardees and introduce new projects from Gold House. Due to his enormous influence on the music business, Jungkook was included on the list. 

    In addition, Bang Si-Hyuk, the chairman of HYBE Corporation, record executive, and producer, will receive a Gold Legend award from Gold House in recognition of his founding role in BTS.

    Regarding BTS' Park Jimin:

    IDOLCHAMP released the results of a poll that asked fans to select their favourite idol who best personifies the idea of a "human cherry blossom" with a preference for pink attire between April 9 and April 23 KST on May 1. Concurrently, the Japanese media platform Danmee carried out a similar survey from April 16 to April 23 KST, soliciting responses for the best-looking Korean male performer in pink.

    In addition to winning the IDOLCHAMP poll, Jimin also took first place in the Danmee survey with 13,949 votes or 49.4% of the total.

    Where is BTS?

    All seven members of BTS - Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jung-kook - are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea. Despite their service commitments, they have continued to release music through their label, BIGHIT Music. 

    Jin and J-Hope are fulfilling as drill instructors at military camp bases and will be released from their duties in 2024. SUGA is serving his duties as a social service agent following his shoulder surgery. V has been deployed to the ROK II Corps while leader RM is stationed at the 15th Infantry Division. Jimin and Jungkook who enlisted together are reportedly serving in the 5th Infantry Division. 

    The group will reunite by June 2025 as they have already signed their contract with their agency.
