BTS' Jin steals the show among 11,000 Torchbearers; Paris Olympic gives special shoutout

Global star Kim Seokjin from one of the biggest groups in the world—BTS—makes sure to steal the show wherever he goes. It was surely no exception that the singer became the centre of attention in Paris when he carried the Olympic torch. Named as a representative for his country, South Korea, he was one of the 11,000 Paris 2024 Olympics torchbearers, causing BTS fans, known as ARMY, to flood the streets.

Seeing the impact he has, it was no surprise that all the official pages of the Olympics featured his photos and videos plastered everywhere on social media. In fact, The Olympic Games X (formerly known as Twitter) handle even did a special countdown saying, "11 days to go until #Paris2024! Watch the Torch get closer and closer with @bts_bighit Jin @Paris2024."
Even Paris 2024 posted a picture of the superstar and wrote, "Good morning from Paris! With Jin - #BTSARMY, love."
The fandom could only beam with pride as they saw all the other official Olympic handles also post about this artist. Tags like 'JINLYMPICS' (Jin and Olympics) and "PRIDE OF KOREA JIN" made the rounds on social media.
Speaking of being a torchbearer, he was chosen as one of 11,000, alongside Holocaust survivors, astronauts, prominent athletes, and relatives of victims of the Nice terror incident, for his zeal and dedication. BigHit Music, the star's label, also shared his picture and wrote, "Jin, who was as warm and dazzling as the torch."

Since his release from the military on July 12, the star known as 'WWH' (World Wide Handsome) has been very busy. In addition to his historic feat as an Olympic torchbearer, he is ready to release his solo album later this year. He has also completed filming for the MBC variety show "The Half-Star Hotel" at Lost Island, with episodes scheduled to air soon.
The remaining six members—Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jung-kook—will be released one after the other, with J-Hope also releasing this year. The remaining members will be discharged in 2025, and they have promised a huge comeback.
