BTS' Jin
Kim Seokjin from the world-renowned band Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS) is a man of many talents! He is called "Worldwide Handsome" or "WWH" for a reason, duh! But he's also known for his exceptional singing, comedic timing, rapping when he's angry, and even his culinary skills—the K-pop idol keeps giving.
Sure enough, he kept feeding ARMY with content after content just days after being released from the South Korean military. Following his appointment as Fred Jewelry’s global ambassador, Jin was unveiled as GUCCI's newest brand representative on August 8. His influence was immediate, reportedly causing a website crash in Japan due to overwhelming demand.
On August 25, 2024, Naver reported that Jin set a remarkable record on GUCCI's social media platforms, earning the title for the most-liked post in the brand's history. His debut post as the global ambassador swiftly overtook the previous record held by American model and TV personality Kendall Jenner.
Moreover, the September issue of Harper's BAZAAR, featuring Jin on the cover, secured the top three spots on best-seller lists across major online stores like Aladdin and Yes24 as soon as pre-orders began.
In addition to his brand collaborations, Jin's appearance on the MBC variety program "Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island," alongside B1A4's Sandeul, Ahn Jung Hwan, Kim Nam Il, and chefs Lee Yeon Bok and Lee Hong Woon achieved impressive ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, the episode recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 5.3%, making it the top-rated variety show in its time slot for 16 consecutive weeks. It also secured the number one spot among all Monday variety shows.
ARMY, have been nothing but thrilled to see him enjoying his time after military enlistment. Many on social media, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter) have also expressed how eager they are for his upcoming solo album release.
