BTS' Jin on 'Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island': Where can ARMY watch, date and all you need to know

Since being discharged from South Korean military service, BTS' eldest member, Kim Seokjin, has been incredibly active! Whether it's serving as a torchbearer at the Paris Olympics 2024, making appearances on variety shows, or working on his solo album, Jin has kept busy. The fandom, known as ARMY, is particularly excited to see him in the upcoming reality show, Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island.

The show will air on August 19 at 9:00 PM KST (5:30 PM IST) and will be available for streaming on Apple TV and Wavve, a Korean OTT platform. MBC may even post about it on their YouTube channel.

A new preview of the show highlights Jin's impressive culinary skills, earning him praise from both the cast and renowned Korean chef Lee Yong Bok. The teaser released by MBC features Jin in the kitchen, skillfully preparing ingredients for a dish. Jin's post-military knife skills are on full display as he cuts conch and oysters with remarkable precision. 

His perfectly thin, linear slices leave the cast members in awe, demonstrating his attention to detail and steady hand. Even Chef Lee Yong Bok, a respected figure in the culinary world, couldn’t help but smile warmly at Jin’s kitchen expertise.

This variety show appearance is one of many ways Jin is reconnecting with ARMY after his military service ended on June 12, 2024. After he was officially discharged, Jin was warmly welcomed back by his fellow BTS members. To celebrate his return, he hosted a special event for FESTA 2024 on June 13, where he gave 'light hugs' to 1,000 lucky fans, marking his re-entry into the entertainment world with warmth and gratitude.

In addition to his upcoming variety show appearances, Jin also launched a special spin-off of Run BTS called Run Jin. The first episode, which premiered on August 13, 2024, saw Jin take on the challenge of climbing Hallasan, a mountain on Jeju Island, just days after his military discharge.

Jin's post-military activities extend beyond television. He was also recently announced as the brand ambassador for luxury fashion house Gucci, further cementing his status as a fashion icon. Additionally, Jin has teased a potential solo album release, generating excitement among fans eager to hear new music from him.
