In the final parts of Bridgerton season 2 , Eloise (Claudia Jessie) finds out that her best friend and neighbour Penelope is Lady Whisteldown, who exposed the dark secrets about her family in front of the ton. Irritated by Penelope’s actions, Eloise ends her friendship with her and in the trailer for the new season, Eloise is seen to have a newfound friendship with Cressida (Jessica Madsen), who embarks on a journey of self-development.
