On August 8, 2016, YG Entertainment debuted a new girl group, BLACKPINK, and today marks their 8th anniversary. The four members—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa—have garnered a strong fanbase known as BLINKs, who support them through everything. However, in recent months, the four idols have gone their separate ways for their solo careers leaving fans without OT4 interactions (a term used by fans to describe their love for all members of an idol group equally).

The members have been extremely busy with their individual activities, travelling around the world. So, when BLACKPINK's social media account shared an "OUR AREA" video without any photos or audio of the K-pop star's anniversary, it sparked confusion, with many asking what it meant.

However, as soon as 12 PM KST arrived, the notification on Weverse revealed that all four members were together to celebrate the special anniversary. Ahead of the anniversary, all the members returned to Korea, with Lisa arriving last on August 6.

As the members engaged in conversation and read through the comments from their fans, BLINKs shared their heartfelt emotions at finally seeing all four members reunited after such an extended period apart. Despite their strong bond and the close-knit nature of their relationships, their individual solo activities had kept them separated, leaving fans yearning for a group interaction.

The sight of all four members together was a moment of great joy and relief for fans who shared their experiences on X (formerly known as Twitter), who had been waiting for what felt like an eternity to witness this long-awaited reunion.

Additionally, PVRINOX Pictures in India will showcase "BLACKPINK's WORLD TOUR: BORN PINK" concert film from August 9 to 11 on a limited number of screens. The film will capture the performances and essence of their Born Pink world tour.
