The news of South Korean actor Song Jae Rim's passing has surely shocked everyone. The actor died on Tuesday, November 12, at 39. Song Jae Rim appeared in several K-dramas and shared the screen with Kim Soo-hyun in the popular 2012 series "The Moon Embracing the Sun". According to reports, he was found dead in Seoul, though the cause of death remains unknown.

Soon after his passing made headlines, many expressed their grief over the sudden loss of Song Jae Rim. However, some vehement fans seized the opportunity to target the popular group BTS. Amid the many condolences for the late actor, some BLACKPINK fans and other K-pop group fans took to social media, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish harm on the seven BTS members: Kim Nam-joon (RM), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Min Yoon-gi (Suga), Jung Ho-seok (J-Hope), Park Ji-min (Jimin), Kim Tae-hyung (V), and Jeon Jung-kook (Jungkook).

The ARMY, BTS's fanbase, quickly expressed their disgust towards these BLINKs (BLACKPINK fans) and Kpoppies questioned how anyone could be so rude during a time of grief. This is not the first time that fans of the girl group have crossed the line—when BTS announced their military enlistment, similar harmful wishes were made toward the members as they prepared for their service.
