    BTS' Dynamite

    BTS' Dynamite

A song that broke records, shattered charts, and saw the fandom ARMY expand as the West began to take artists from across the globe seriously was DYNAMITE! Released on August 21, 2020, by BTS—the biggest band in the world—it was their first song fully recorded in English.

This upbeat disco-pop track, with elements of funk, soul, and bubblegum pop, was meant to soothe the pain of people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its lyrics and choreography paid homage to musical legends like the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, and Elvis Presley.

The song was such a blast - literally - that it earned BTS their first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, making them the first Korean pop act to be nominated.
