Andre Braugher made his debut with the movie Glory

He was born in Chicago on July 1, 1962. He earned a scholarship to attend Stanford University where he graduated with a BA in theatre. He also attended the Julliard School’s Drama Division. He made his debut in the year 1989 with the movie Glory. One of his landmark roles came in the series Homicide: Life On The Street as Detective Frank Pembleton. He won an Emmy Award for his role on the show. Braugher made appearances in movies like Frequency, Poseidon, and City Of Angels. He married his onscreen wife from Homicide, actress Ami Brabson. The couple had three sons.

Andre Braugher received an Emmy nomination for Men Of A Certain Age

Andre essayed the role of Ben Gideon on the series Gideon’s Crossing. He furthermore played Detective Marcellus Washington on the show Hack. Braugher was also seen in Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer. The late actor also received an Emmy nomination for his performance in Men Of A Certain Age. He had a recurring role in Law And Order: Special Victims Unit and was also seen in The Last Resort. His other breakthrough role came on the comedy-crime show Brooklyn Nine-Nine wherein he was roped in to play Captain Holt.
