Travis Kelce's ex questions his relationship with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce's ex, Maya Benberry, has a cautionary message for Taylor Swift amidst their whirlwind romance: "Once a cheater, always a cheater." Maya, Kelce's first public girlfriend, began dating the football star after meeting on his 2016 reality show Catching Kelce. 

Even though their paths crossed years ago, Maya wasted no time in sharing her thoughts when Travis, 34, and Taylor began dating.

Maya Benberry's Take

In an interview with Daily Mail, Maya shared her perspective on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship. Maya described Taylor as fun-loving with a beautiful spirit, and she wished her the best of luck. However, she advised Taylor to be cautious.

Suggesting that she may have learned to distinguish genuine intentions from opportunistic ones. Maya also expressed doubts about the authenticity of the relationship, citing Travis's frequent media appearances and labeling him as a narcissist.

Travis's Past Relationship Dynamics

Maya alleges that Travis cheated on her with journalist Kayla Nicole, with whom he had a subsequent five-year relationship. The couple went their separate ways in 2022 after being seen together in public on numerous occasions.

Talking to In Touch, Catching Kelce runner-up Veronica Harwood gave her take on Travis Kelce's romantic history. She thought Travis might have been seeing Kayla even before the show and wasn't fully committed to Maya at the time.

Travis took a break from dating for a while, but in October 2022, there were rumors about him and Zuri Hall. He then got back into the spotlight in July of that year for something totally unexpected. On his podcast "New Heights" with his brother Jason Kelce, he talked about wanting to give Taylor a friendship bracelet at her Eras tour stop in Kansas City.

Taylor and Travis have been jet-setting together across the globe, following his Super Bowl 2024 victory, as part of her Eras tour.
