Selena Gomez reveals what she told Taylor Swift at Golden Globes 2024 and no, it wasn’t about Timothée Chalamet

The list of winners and glam red carpet looks were not the only topics of discussion at the Golden Globes 2024 Awards which were held at the The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on 7th January. A major moment from the ceremony made headlines when a video of Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift surfaced on social media. Yes, we are talking about the viral clip where many netizens thought Selena told Taylor how Kylie Jenner did not let her current beau Timothée Chalamet take a picture with her. Well, Selena has now commented on this video and the rumour.

Selena did spill the tea to her BFF Taylor. However, it was not about Kylie and Timothée who were very clearly lost in their own world. In fact, a source had earlier clarified that Selena never saw the love birds at the award ceremony. Under a social media post shared by E! News, Selena set the record straight once and for all. The Only Murders in the Building actress wrote: “Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.” Many fans pointed out that Selena does not need to explain herself to the world. But netizens are glad to have some clarity.

Sadly, there are still some social media users who refuse to believe that Selena and Taylor were not actually talking about Timothée and Kylie. For instance, one netizen dropped a comment under this post which read: “Selena’s camp was quick to release a statement saying they were not talking about Tim or Kylie😂 when is super clear that Kayleigh said “Timothee??” Loud and clear in the video.” Meanwhile another comment read: “She’s not going to admit it if she was. I wouldn’t lol.”
