One of the most iconic Hollywood action franchises, Rambo had its last theatrical release in 2019, the movie was a critical and commercial failure and since then there have been rumors that a reboot is in the works.
In a recent interview, Sylvester Stallone was asked about returning to the franchise to which he gave a humorous reply that had the audience in splits.
Action Heroes in Their Golden Years
Sylvester Stallone had portrayed John Rambo in 5 movies, kicking off the franchise with 1982's First Blood, in which the actor played a returning Vietnam veteran who faces unwarranted harassment from the sheriff of a small town.
The sequels which did not receive the same critical praise as First Blood are still enjoyable action movies that helped Stallone achieve international superstardom.

Rambo 6 Rumors
While Stallone doesn't seem to be interested in reprising his role as the grizzled solider does not mean that this studio doesnt have plans for the franchise.
Award-winning director Quentin Tarantino also expressed in rebooting the first movie and picked Adam Driver as his pick to play Rambo and Kurt Russel for the role of the sheriff.
There are also rumors that there are plans for a complete reboot of the franchise, with some even claiming that it will not be a movie but a series.

While limiting Rambo to the small screen doesnt not seem like a smart idea, fans of the franchise will have to wait till the WGA strike ends to get any official news.
