Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones to grace a high profile Bollywood party during their India trip

Hollywood royalty Michael Douglas along with his actress-wife Catherine Zeta-Jones is all set to visit India at November-end. The couple will attend the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The actor-producer had received an invitation for the same during the 76th Cannes Film Festival earlier this year in May. Now, some interesting details surrounding his visit here have been revealed.

Michael Douglas to attend a Bollywood party

According to a news report in Etimes, Michael will be exploring some parts of India and will also be attending a high-profile Bollywood party during his visit to India. Not only this but the Falling Down actor is also scheduled to meet some South actors. Douglas’ friend and film producer Shailendra Singh told the publication, “The emails we received regarding the things he was supposed to do were exhaustive. So, we had to cut down many things and filter it. He will arrive a day prior to his engagements. We are having a fun-filled 24 hours in Goa before his work begins on November 27. We are hosting an intimate dinner for him that night." Singh will also be hosting a party to celebrate his 25 years in the industry which will be attended by Michael and the creme-de-la-creme of Bollywood.

Michael Douglas to be felicitated at IFFI 2023

The Basic Instinct actor has his schedule jam-packed wherein he will be attending almost 78 events including occasions hosted by Pramod Sawant, CM of Goa, and Anurag Thakur, union minister of information and broadcasting. Michael will be felicitated with the Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award at IFFI 2023. Douglas will be receiving the award on the last day of the film festival which will be taking place between November 20 to 28. Michael will also reportedly travel to a city in South India to meet some celebrated South celebrities. Earlier at the Cannes Film Festival, the 78-year-old actor had expressed his desire to visit the South of India with his wife.
