Benny Blanco, a prominent figure in the music industry, has recently grabbed attention for his association with Selena Gomez. On December 7, the "Only Murders in the Building" star engaged with Instagram posts hinting at her and Blanco dating. Responding to a fan account post featuring images of the duo and headlines declaring her relationship with Blanco, Gomez confirmed with a succinct "Facts," adding fuel to the speculation surrounding their romantic connection.

Early Musical Roots

Hailing from Virginia, Benjamin Joseph Levin, professionally known as Benny Blanco, entered the world on March 8, 1988. Reflecting on his musical journey, Blanco revealed in a 2012 interview with Vibe that he has been immersed in music since childhood.

Expressing his determination, he stated, "When you want something that bad, you're not going to stop at it, you know," and highlighted his early foray into the industry by reaching out to people on the burgeoning platform of Myspace.

Blanco's musical journey underwent a pivotal transformation when he transitioned from crafting hip-hop and indie songs to meeting producer Dr. Luke. Recounting this turning point, Blanco shared, "(Dr. Luke) was like, ‘Yo, you should be making pop music. 

Why are you making this indie-hip-hop stuff?" This shift in focus marked a significant moment in his career. Notable among his credits as a writer and producer are chart-toppers like Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," Kesha's "Tik Tok," Britney Spears' "Circus," Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" and "Payphone," and Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts." Blanco has also collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, and more.

Harmonious Collaborations

In their latest collaboration, Blanco and Gomez joined forces for her newest track, "Single Soon," where Blanco assumes the role of producer alongside Cashmere Cat. This musical partnership extends beyond "Single Soon," as Blanco previously contributed his production skills to Cashmere Cat's "Trust Nobody," featuring Gomez and Tory Lanez. 

Delving into Gomez's personal discography, Blanco's production prowess is evident in her tracks "Kill Them With Kindness" and the 2015 hit "Same Old Love." The synergy between Blanco and Gomez continues to create musical magic across various projects.
