Jennifer Lopez sends a clear message: Ben Affleck is off limits

During her guest spot on Today With Hoda & Jenna on Thursday, February 15, Jennifer Lopez, 54, opened up about her feelings of jealousy when other women flirt with Ben Affleck. She also issued a cautionary message to any ladies attempting to catch his attention.

 As part of the show, the Marry Me star played a game called “This Is Me… Now or Then?” inspired by her latest album, This Is Me… Now. Host Hoda Kotb posed questions, and Lopez and the other ladies determined if the descriptions applied to them presently or in the past.

Jennifer Lopez Asserts Her Territory

Kotb then posed a follow-up question, asking, her how would she handle it if someone were to flirt with Ben to which she said that she considers herself to be a lover, not a fighter, but she would certainly communicate to them in a graceful and dignified manner that they should step back.

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022, marking a significant milestone in their relationship after initially canceling their wedding plans back in 2004. Their journey began when they met during the filming of Gigli in 2001, sparking a romance that led to their engagement announcement in November 2022. Originally, their wedding was set for September 14, 2003, but the couple decided to call it off, ultimately ending their engagement in January 2004.

Life and Love Beyond Lopez and Affleck's Initial Split

Both Lopez and Affleck found love with other partners after their initial split. Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Garner in 2005, and their marriage lasted until 2018. Together, they are proud parents to three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. Meanwhile, Lopez married Marc Anthony in 2004, and they welcomed twins Emme and Max in 2008. However, their marriage came to an end in 2014.

Lopez reconnected with Affleck following the end of her engagement to Alex Rodriguez in April 2021. They reignited their romance, leading to a second engagement in April 2022 and their subsequent marriage in July 2022. In a February interview on Australia’s "Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show," Lopez revealed that it was only after she achieved a sense of fulfillment independently that she felt the timing was ideal for her and Affleck.

Lopez's upcoming album, This is Me… Now, is set for release this Friday, accompanied by the premiere of an Amazon Prime narrative musical film titled This Is Me...Now: A Love Story. Notably, her husband co-wrote the script and shares the screen with her as one of the stars of the film.
